A Statement from the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance

On June 27, the Saugatuck Dunes Coastal Alliance was notified of a SLAPP-style lawsuit filed by North Shores of Saugatuck, LLC against it and David Swan personally. The complaint makes incendiary allegations that do not accurately portray what actually happened. Given that we are in the midst of litigation, the Coastal Alliance will limit its public comments and looks forward to vigorously defending the claims against it.

The Coastal Alliance is committed to continuing its work to preserve and protect the Saugatuck Dunes and Kalamazoo River Mouth. Holding developers, regulators, lawmakers, and others accountable to following the laws remains a key strategy to achieve our goals.
