Important Update

After the Saugatuck Township Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) meeting began yesterday afternoon, it was disclosed that one of the ZBA members was absent due to illness and would participate and vote via Zoom. After a recess for the parties to discuss the matter, the ZBA reconvened and then adjourned the meeting. 

Separately, as ZBA members were arriving at Township Hall, Bobbie Gaunt and David Swan were served with a legal complaint filed by NorthShore of Saugatuck against the Coastal Alliance and David Swan individually. The complaint appears to be a SLAPP-style (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) suit designed to prevent critics from speaking out on issues.
